Sakura Kinomoto is a fourth-grade student who excels in physical education.

One day, when Sakura returned from school, she felt a presence in the basement library, which was supposed to be empty.

When Sakura entered the library, there was a book glowing in gold. Inside were cards, but as soon as she read the words written there, a fierce wind blew, scattering the cards.

From the remaining book, a strange creature named Cerberus appeared. This creature says, “When the seal of the Clow Cards contained in the book is broken, a disaster will occur in this world.”

Then Cerberus gives Sakura the key to the seal and makes her a Cardcaptor.

From that night on, Sakura uses magic to confront the materialized cards… Can Sakura return all the cards to their original state?

The charm of this work

Cardcaptor Sakura is a work that was serialized from 1996 to 2000.

It is a work by CLAMP, popular for its beautiful illustrations, and its popularity has not waned even many years after the end of serialization. Even if you haven’t read it, there are many people who know the title, aren’t there?

While there are many battle anime featuring magical girls fighting enemies, Cardcaptor Sakura is notable for not simply being about VS enemies. There are no easy-to-understand evils like “Destroy the world!” and it’s not about defeating enemies with magic! Instead, it questions the feelings of the enemy and gently envelops them with Sakura’s own words. This is not just an anime that ends with defeating the enemy, but a charming work that is also loved by adults.
