The protagonist, a high school freshman named Yuji Itadori, sees his fate change on the day he loses his only relative, his grandfather. By chance, Itadori picks up a cursed object known as “Sukuna’s Finger”. When a senior student accidentally breaks the seal on it, “Cursed Spirits” that attack people begin to appear.
Megumi Fushiguro, a sorcerer who came to collect the cursed object, attempts to rescue Itadori’s senior but finds himself cornered. It is then that Itadori, who cannot use sorcery but possesses extraordinary physical abilities, jumps in. With his exceptional athletic skills, he bravely confronts the Cursed Spirits.

Yuji Itadori The protagonist of this work. Originally a normal high school student who couldn’t see Cursed Spirits, his fate changed when he swallowed a special grade cursed object, “Sukuna’s Finger”, and was sentenced to a secret execution. He was given a stay of execution until he swallowed all the fingers and transferred to the Jujutsu High School. With his outstanding athletic abilities, he is rapidly enhancing his combat skills. He has a bright and kind-hearted personality, and acts with the desire to save people who are suffering from curses.
Megumi Fushiguro A sorcerer who uses shikigami mediated by shadows. He meets Itadori during a mission to retrieve the special grade cursed object “Sukuna’s Finger”, and asks Gojo to help avoid Itadori’s execution. At first glance, he seems cool, but he has a deeply compassionate personality.

Nobara Kugisaki A sorcerer who exorcises Cursed Spirits by driving nails into them and infusing her own curse power. She enrolled in Jujutsu High School because she wanted to leave her exclusive hometown. She enjoys city life, going shopping on her days off. She has a strong will and a rough tone, but she also cares deeply for her friends.
Satoru Gojo Recognized by himself and others as the strongest sorcerer in the world of Jujutsu. He is a homeroom teacher for first-year students at the high school, where he instructs Itadori and others. He has a frivolous and laid-back personality, often leading others around. With his special “Six Eyes”, he can handle limitless curses that ordinary people cannot.
The charm of this work
The charm of “Jujutsu Kaisen” lies in its unique battles that make full use of curses. Even among sorcerers, there are characters like Itadori who mainly engage in physical combat, characters like Kugisaki who fight in a way that seems “cursed”, such as nailing straw dolls, and even abilities that seem unrelated to curses at first glance, such as making full use of a guitar. The clash of these “cursed” limitations leads to a chaotic battle of unique rules and abilities.
Among such curse techniques, the one treated as a special move is “Domain Expansion”. By constructing a barrier using curse power, it has overwhelming effects such as dramatically increasing one’s own power and preventing the opponent from escaping. Powerhouses will clash their Domain Expansions in crucial moments, but of course, only those with corresponding power can use it, and it is not necessarily an inescapable technique, so there is also a game of strategy prepared here.
